If you wish to have better results in the UK and this is your target market then having a website on a UK server is best.
If you are looking at targeting the USA then servers in the USA is where you want to be.
We have both so you can choose the one best suited for you but the plans are setup different.
Why is it better to be in the country you are targeting?
This is due to how search engines work. A UK search engine will confine it's scope to the UK and users that go to Yahoo or any other engine will still type in Yahoo.com but they will wind up at Yahoo UK unless he / she will select the USA Yahoo.
All major search engines auto switch to the country the user is in. If you live in the USA and type Yahoo.com you will see the USA version and if you are in Japan you will see a version for Japan.
